Google's more affordable AI Plus plan is now available in the US.

At $7.99 a month, the AI Plus plan raises usage limits for advanced Gemini features and increases cloud storage from 15GB on the free plan to 200GB. For a limited time, users can get 50% off the subscription for the first two months.

The AI perks start with higher access to Gemini 3 Pro, Nano Banana Pro, Deep Research, and NotebookLM. You also get 200 monthly credits for video generation with Flow and Whisk, which is twice as many as the free plan. Generating a video using Google’s Veo 3 or 3.1 model typically requires 20 credits. For more free credits, you can choose the $20 AI Pro plan (1,000 credits) or the $250 AI Ultra plan (25,000 credits).

The AI Plus plan also unlocks access to Gemini in Chrome as well as in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, and more. With the latter, Gemini becomes available in the sidebar and can help with the file you’re working on. Previously, this feature required at least the AI Pro plan.

The AI Plus perks will also be extended to those on a Google One Premium 2TB storage plan. They will be upgraded automatically over the next few days, Google says. Others can sign up for AI Plus from the Google One website.

Google’s affordable AI plan first rolled out overseas last year. It comes after OpenAI introduced a similar plan at the same price earlier this month. ChatGPT Go provides access to 10x more messages, file uploads, and image generation than the free plan.
