In an effort to promote its top-of-the-range smartphone, Samsung has entered a promotional agreement with Heathrow to "rename" T5 as Terminal Samsung Galaxy S5. The two week campaign starts next Monday, 19 and finishes on the June 2.
The marketing comes as Samsung announces that it has sold 11 million S5s globally since it went on sale one month ago. But it also comes on news that in spite of great sales, profits at the Korean mega-firm are down, and have been for two quarters.
This is the first time Heathrow has allows such a takeover by any brand, and it will encompass billboards, electronic screens and all of the other promotional spots at Heathrow's newest terminal. In total, the campaign will cover 172 screens, and potential customers will be able to try out the S5 in Dixons branches in the terminal.
