Not everyone is cut out for philanthropy. But now there is a way for enthusiasts of adult content to give back.

PornHub is encouraging folks to help save the whales: For every 2,000 erotic videos streamed, the adult website will donate one cent to Moclips Cetological Society, a Washington-based nonprofit "dedicated to saving the whales through knowledge and conservation."

"We're now asking our community to turn their attention to—and help save—a different type of blowhole, one that belongs to a majestic species that once swelled in numbers throughout the oceans before commercial industries initiated their demise," PornHub Vice President Corey Price told PCMag sister site Geek.com in a statement.

Moclips Cetological Society President Ken Balcomb also endorsed the fundraising project, telling Geek that "humans are not the only mammals that engage in sexual activities for reasons other than procreation."

But while you're giggling at the inevitable "sperm whale" or "humpback whale" pun, there are whale species around the world losing their habitats, succumbing to pollution, and going extinct. "So please help us save the ocean's gentle giants," the PornHub site said.

In four days, PornHub has racked up more than 955 million clicks, which tallies $478,500—and counting. The campaign ends on Feb. 29.

In August, the XXX site introduced Premium subscriptions, dubbed the "Netflix of porn." For $9.99 per month, users can watch high-quality, ad-free, exclusive content, as well as more than 13,000 full-length DVDs. Other features include mobile-friendly browsing and higher-quality, faster streaming on non-premium videos.
