In celebration of 10 years of free video calling, Skype on Tuesday announced new group video calling for iOS, Android, and Windows 10 Mobile.

In 2014, the company made group video calling, free on Windows, Mac, and Xbox One. Now, the same function is rolling out to Android, iPhone, iPad, and Windows 10 mobile devices—"everywhere, completely free," Microsoft Corporate Vice President Gurdeep Pall wrote in a blog post.

For now, you must pre-register to try it out. Enter your email address, Skype name, country, and device, then watch for an email from Skype. Everyone else will get it in the coming weeks.

"Yes, it really has been a decade since Skype changed the way people connect with their loved ones," Pall wrote. Over those 10 years, Skype has expanded from the desktop to mobile and users have racked up nearly 2 trillion minutes of free Skype video calls—from long-distance couples, far-flung soldiers, mountain climbers, and deep-sea divers.

Over the last few months, Skype added real-time speech and instant message translation for Windows, new mobile filters, the ability for Android users to save video messages, and better iOS multitasking.

Redmond also recently made it possible for users to invite anyone to join a Skype chat by sharing a unique link via email, social media, or messaging services, no account needed.
