Ahead of this week's CES, Samsung is showing off a new smart TV interface that's intended to help you get to your content faster, and help you ditch the multiple remotes.

CES 2016 Bug ArtThe company also teased a new soundbar that incorporates Dolby's Atmos "moving audio."

On the TV front, Samsung's new Smart Hub interface lets users seamlessly move between broadcast and over-the-top (OTT) content, as well as connected devices like video game consoles and Blu-ray players.

The Tizen-based Smart Control remote, meanwhile, will automatically recognize devices that are connected to your TV so you'll never again have to search the couch cushions to find different clickers for TV power, volume control, and Netflix access.

"In 2016, Samsung's Smart Hub and Smart Control remote are providing the most streamlined, convenient, and intuitive TV user experience," Won Jin Lee, executive vice president of Samsung's Visual Display Business, said in a statement.

Samsung Soundbar

The Smart TV with enhanced Smart Hub interface and Smart Control remote was developed in part by the Samsung Customer Experience Lab in Silicon Valley. "Our goal was to give consumers a new type of experience, integrating live TV with streaming services and other content sources," Lab Vice President Chris Turkstra said.

But what's great television viewing without a great audio experience? Samsung also announced a new portfolio of audio products, including the Soundbar featuring Dolby Atmos technology, as well as enhancements to its Radiant360 series.

CES 2016 attendees can hear the new lineup and checkout other home entertainment products at the Samsung Booth—#11906 in Central Hall.

Visitors can also look for three Creative Lab (C-Lab) projects, including WELT—a healthcare belt that helps people manage their waist size by measuring daily habits and behaviors; rink—a hand-motion controller for mobile VR devices; and TipTalk—a new user experience that enables folks to hear sounds transmitted through their own body. C-Lab projects will be showcased at Eureka Park in Hall G, Level One of the Sands Expo from Jan. 6-9.
