Sprint's Direct 2 You phone delivery service is expanding across the country.

Launched in April, the program started in Kansas City, Chicago, and Miami, before expanding to New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Denver.

Now, Sprint customers in Dallas, Detroit, Tampa, and Washington, D.C., can buy and set up a new phone from home.

Qualified users will receive a text or email with an offer to upgrade their phone. Simply make an appointment by phone (844-347-2968) or online, and a Direct 2 You expert will come to your home (or office, cafe, or gym) .

With the mobile device of your choosing in tow, Sprint reps will help set it up and transfer all content—contacts, photos, videos, apps—and personalize the device. You can also choose to turn over your old phone for recycling or reuse.

The best part is: The whole thing is free for Sprint subscribers.

"We listen to our customers, which is why during the past year we've worked tirelessly to improve Sprint's network, value and customer service," vice president Rod Millar said in a statement. "Direct 2 You is all about taking the best customer experience one step further and addressing pain points for the customer. It makes buying a phone a unique and stress-free experience."

The company is ultimately planning to place about 5,000 Sprint Direct 2 You cars in major metropolitan areas by the end of the year.

"With our new Sprint Direct 2 You fleet of cars, it's as if we are adding 5,000 additional stores," CEO Marcelo Claure said in April.

Sprint recently popped up in 1,435 RadioShack stores acquired as part of the electronic retailer's recent bankruptcy action. The shops offer smartphones like the new Samsung Galaxy S6, as well as other devices and services from Sprint and its prepaid brands Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile, alongside RadioShack products.
