PlayStation 4 owners will have only five days to tap into an exclusive Call of Duty: Black Ops III multiplayer beta experience.
According to marketing material handed out at last week's San Diego Comic Con, the limited gameplay will be available between Aug. 19 and 23.
Gaming blog Charlie Intel on Sunday reported that attendees of the SDCC's Black Ops III Zombies Escape Room Challenge received swag bags with a PlayStation Plus voucher—and dates for the exclusive multiplayer beta.
Activision did not immediately respond to PCMag's request for comment.
According to the company's Call of Duty Twitter account, Zombies Escape Room Challenge participants also collected the official comic prequel to CoD: Black Ops III, a Mega Bloks CoD exclusive figurine, and the code to an online sweepstakes for a chance to be a Black Ops zombie.
Scheduled for a Nov. 6 release, Call of Duty: Black Ops III is set in a gritty future where cybernetics and biotech have bred a new type of soldier. Players step inside the mind of an interconnected commando, who is faster, more lethal, and ready to guide users through a new four-player co-op campaign and redesigned multiplayer experience.
Game developers added a new weapon customization system, as well as the Specialist system to choose and rank nine Black Ops troopers. Treyarch's signature Zombies return, as well, featuring the voice and likeness of Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, Ron Perlman, and Robert Picardo.
