Apple would like you to view its upcoming Apple Watch as a piece of wrist-worn art. And to get that message out, Cupertino is hiring retail workers with "a fashion or luxury background," according to 9to5Mac.

The long-awaited Apple Watch was unveiled in September, and will feature three different bands when it arrives in 2015: the basic Apple Watch, fitness-oriented Apple Watch Sport, and luxury Apple Watch Edition.

According to 9to5Mac, these various options and styles mean that Apple Watch will likely take up a bit of space in Apple Stores, and Cupertino will need the appropriate people manning these stations. Glass cases might keep greasy fingers away from 18-karat gold versions, the blog suggested.

The devices, which start at $349 and are expected to arrive in the spring, will come with 38mm or 42mm faces with a sapphire crystal display, and must be tethered to an iPhone (5 or later). Snap the circular, magnetic charger onto the back of the watch face to juice it up.

Cupertino has already hired a number of executives with fashion experience, from retail chief Angela Ahrendts, who previously served as Burberry's CEO, to Tag Heuer senior executive Patrick Pruniaux and former Saint Laurent Paris CEO Paul Deneve.
