Apple will announce the opening of its next New York City Apple Store this Tuesday, according to 9to5Mac. Located in Grand Central Terminal, it will be Apple's fifth brick-and-mortar store in Manhattan and is said to be the biggest Apple Store to date.

9to5Mac said Apple is currently stocking the store and adding the finishing touches. There are several large boards hanging around the site, which 9to5Mac has predicted will reveal an announcement about the store tomorrow.

More than 300 employees are currently training in other New York City Apple Stores. The actual opening will reportedly take place on Black Friday.

Construction on the new Apple Store began in mid-August and was expected to take roughly 120 days. It will occupy a 23,000 square-foot space on the north and northeast balconies of the terminal's main concourse.

The space was previously held by celebrity chef Charlie Palmer's restaurant Metrazur, but Apple paid him $5 million to vacate early.

Grand Central was originally opened in 1871. Its 44 platforms on two underground levels make it the biggest train station in the world. Apple has said that it will honor the integrity of the building, which itself is one of the Big Apple's architectural gems. The plans for the new store allow for "very modest alterations to historic elements" in Grand Central.

About a mile north of Grand Central, Apple's Fifth Avenue Store recently reopened after five months of renovations. Apple spent a rumored $6.7 million to replace the 90 glass panels that comprised the store's iconic glass cube entrance with just 15 larger, more seamless pieces.

Apple did not respond to questions about the opening of the Grand Central store.
