There is more evidence pointing to the possibility of a Hulu sale. Multiple sources are reporting that the streaming TV service is looking for a buyer.

All Things D's Peter Kafka reports that Hulu is actively seeking a buyer and has pegged Morgan Stanley and Guggenheim partners to field potential offers. Hulu is asking potential suitors if they'd like to sign a non-disclosure agreement and "take a look-see," Kafka says.

There have been conflicting reports about the possible Hulu sale. On Wednesday, the LA Times claimed that Yahoo had approached Hulu with an "unsolicited offer." But if Hulu has enlisted investment banks to handle the process, it means "unsolicited offers" aren't the only kind of offers the company is receiving, the Times noted on Thursday. Business Insider, however, quashed rumors that Yahoo is gearing up to buy Hulu.

Yahoo declined to comment on the rumors.

Meanwhile, Variety reports that in anticipation of a sale, Hulu has renewed its licensing agreement with Fox, which will allow the site to continue streaming Fox content. Fox, which is owned by News Corp., one of Hulu's owners, is behind popular Hulu shows like Glee and The Simpsons.

Licensing agreements are key to Hulu's value; a stall in such negotiations was the reason a Hulu IPO fell through last year, Variety said. The publication added that in order to position itself for a sale, Hulu will likely renew agreements with its other owners, Walt Disney Co. and Comcast, which owns NBC Universal.

Hulu expects to earn $500 million this year, and it's unclear why it would want to sell. The sale rumors have not been confirmed and reps from Hulu did not respond to a request for comment.

Earlier today, however, Hulu announced that its Hulu Plus subscription service is now rolling out to select Android phones.
