For some reason known only to Steve Jobs, the iPhone has lacked basic cut-and-paste functionality since it was released. That all changes with TextGuru, which charges you $4.99 for the privilege of being able to cut, copy, and paste in documents you create with it. It has a lot more to offer than that, including giving users the ability to view PDF files and Microsoft Office documents (but not to edit the latter), though it also has a few rough edges that keep it from being a perfect final draft.
