Google Street View, the virtual 360-degree view of streets, homes, and businesses around the world, is a wonderful feature. It's especially helpful when you're lost on a real street corner and want to use Google Maps to get your bearings. You can match what you're viewing in the real world with what's on your screen. The downside (or some might say Dark Side) to all this street level data is that Google is driving around the world taking pictures of every street, every business, and every home. Recently, the company admitted to sucking home-owner Wi-Fi data right out of the air and even gathering personal information like e-mail addresses and passwords. As a result, some people do not want to be seen by Google Street View. Here are some far-fetched ideas for hiding your home from Google's unblinking eye.
