Everyone has a talent. Writing, drawing, or basket weaving are all fine example of talents. But for some people, their special talent is having little fear of death or bodily harm. And sometimes these unique individuals take to the Internet to share their talents with the world.
In previous eras, there were few options available to an aspiring insane person who wanted to share their rampant disregard for life and limb. However, thanks to the exhibitionist-enhancing power of technology, we can all take part in borderline-psychopathic endeavors.
While mediums like YouTube have provided avenues for anyone to share their insane stunts, perhaps the most vital ingredient for this new generation of Evel Knievels are small, light cameras such as GoProSEE IT, which are dainty enough to capture all the action.
All. The. Action.
That’s why it was of little surprise that when four men decided to BASE jump off of One World Trade Center, the tallest building in the United States, they recorded it all with a GoPro camera so the whole world could see. Unfortunately for the GoPro daredevils, that world includes police investigators, who used the footage to track down and arrest the four men.
Illegal shenanigans aside, it turns out that there’s a bountiful library of GoPro-enabled videos that will allow those of us with a healthy amount of respect for our physical well-beings to live vicariously through those who don’t. We don’t recommend that you try any of these activities yourself, but we do recommend that you watch as others narrowly avoid catastrophe!
