Buying Guide: BlueAnt Q1

BlueAnt is a relentless competitor in the Bluetooth accessory market, having released dozens of headsets, hands-free speakerphones, and other wireless audio devices over the past several years. The latest is the Q1 ($129.95 list), a sharp little headset with an impressive voice-controlled user interface. First pioneered on last year's V1, the control scheme eschews tiny, fiddly buttons for spoken voice commands and auditory feedback in the earpiece, much like Apple's latest iPod shuffle (although the shuffle only speaks—it doesn't recognize spoken commands). The Q1 moves the bar forward for BlueAnt. None of its competitors offers a device quite like it, although several competing products deliver better overall performance.
