Microsoft has decided to push the Xbox consoles really hard this Thanksgiving, and it means the Xbox One X is dropping to its lowest price yet as part of a Black Fridat sale. In fact, all Xbox console prices are dropping, as is the cost of Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live Gold, and a bunch of digital games.

Let's start with the headline price drop. If you go out and buy a brand new Xbox One X today you can expect to pay around $470 for it. However, when Microsoft's Black Friday sale kicks off on Nov. 18 that price will drop to just $399.99. The Xbox One S will also enjoy a $100 discount meaning you can pick one up for just $199.99. Console bundles will also see discounts, with the Minecraft bundle dropping by $100 and other bundles getting $70 knocked off the price.

If you already own an Xbox, or want to buy one with a bunch of games and accessories, Microsoft is catering for you in the sale, too. The Xbox Wireless Controller will be $10 cheaper from Nov. 22-26, and that includes Xbox Design Lab. Xbox Game Pass will drop to $1 for your first month between Nov. 10 and Jan. 3, and Xbox Live Gold will also be $1 for a month from Nov. 15 to Nov.30. or you can claim a 40 percent discount on three months between Nov. 22-26.

As for games, it's possible to pick up some high-profile titles with big discounts attached from the Microsoft Store. From Nov. 22-30 the following discounts will be available:

  • Forza Horizon 4 for up to 35 percent off
  • Forza Motorsport 7 for up to 50 percent off
  • State of Decay 2 for 35 percent off
  • PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds for 35 percent off
  • Sea of Thieves for 50 percent off
  • Super Lucky's Tale for 35 percent off
  • Disneyland Adventures for 35 percent off
  • Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure for 35 percent off
  • Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection for 35 percent off

The Xbox console discounts will be available direct from Microsoft, but also at participating retailers. The other good news is, Microsoft decided to make this a global offer, so if your country sells Xbox, then expect discounts starting next week. They will vary between regions, though.

The game discounts listed above are just those that Microsoft decided to offer. Game retailers in the US are sure to offer a much wider range of discounts for first and third-party games. The same will be true of accessories and will include non-Microsoft controllers, chargers, stands, etc. I'm sure.
