Welcome to the dimension of the mind. Even if you don't realize it, The Twilight Zone may have already influenced how you see the world. Ever since it slipped into our reality in 1959, Rod Serling's iconic anthology television series has entertained millions with its insightful blend of horror, science fiction, speculative fiction, and social commentary. The classic thought-provoking episodes continue to unlock our imaginations decades later, having become a pop culture staple with a movie and multiple follow-up series. And every winter, the original show returns to teach valuable lessons. Want to re-enter this realm as 2026 rolls in? All you need is a strong internet connection and a video streaming service to enter The Twilight Zone this holiday season.

Which Streaming Services Offer 'The Twilight Zone '?

The Twilight Zone originally aired on the CBS network. After decades of corporate takeovers and name changes, CBS is now part of Paramount Global, which offers the Paramount+ streaming video service. For $7.99 per month, you can stream all five seasons of the original show. So, you don't need to wait until the holiday season to stream The Twilight Zone. Or, you can create a marathon of your own!

Furthermore, Amazon lets you rent or purchase episodes from the 2019 Twilight Zone. That reboot, produced by Jordan Peele, debuted as a Paramount+ exclusive. However, the show has been removed from that service; you can now stream it on Apple TV. On Amazon, you can still buy Blu-ray discs to prepare for streaming’s seemingly inevitable, dystopian collapse. We cannot find official streaming versions of 1985 or 2002 Twilight Zone episodes—just YouTube uploads.

How to Watch 'The Twilight Zone' for Free

Although CBS is the show’s network home, there are other, arguably better ways to stream the original Twilight Zone. Amazon's Prime Video currently airs the five classic seasons for free. So does Tubi. You just have to put up with ads. Tubi also has 1983's Twilight Zone: The Movie.

How to Watch 'The Twilight Zone' New Year's Eve Marathon

And this is why you're here. Per tradition, several TV channels will air Twilight Zone marathons on New Year's Eve, such as H&I Network and SyFy. H&I Network's block is known as "A Toast to Twilight," while Syfy's is simply the "Syfy's Twilight Zone New Year's Marathon."

"A Toast to Twilight" begins on December 31 at 8 p.m. ET and continues through January 2 at 6 a.m. ET.

"Syfy's Twilight Zone New Year's Marathon" begins on December 31 at 5 a.m. ET and continues through January 2 at 6 a.m. ET.

SyFy is also running a bonus, 24-hour Twilight Zone marathon on Christmas Day, starting at 5 a.m. ET on December 25. It's a great alternative if you're not watching the new Stranger Things episodes on Netflix.

Check the schedules to see which episodes air when, and consider a live TV streaming service to enjoy these traditional TV channels with streaming convenience. H&I has a home on Philo, while SyFy is available on most live TV services.

The Best 'Twilight Zone' Episodes to Watch During the Marathons

The Twilight Zone is jam-packed with many iconic episodes to detail here, but if you only have time to catch a few episodes during these marathons, here are our top three picks.

1. "It's a Good Life"

This cheery yet chilling dystopia follows a town under the thumb of a child with godlike power...and godlike wrath. It'll make you never want to play with a jack-in-the-box again.

2. "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street"

You don't need aliens to terrorize innocent suburb dwellers. You just need a healthy dose of paranoia in this Cold War metaphor that features perhaps the show's most famous ending narration.

3. "To Serve Man"

The problem with writing about any classic Twilight Zone episode is that you want to rave about it without spoiling the twist for new viewers. So, take our advice and dive into this episode knowing as little as possible.

More Streaming TV and Movies

It’s not quite the same thing, but you should stream Black Mirror if you enjoy The Twilight Zone. Charlie Brooker's sci-fi anthology show owes a tremendous debt to Rod Serling's creation. Black Mirror upgrades the nightmares to reflect our modern, tech-obsessed world and airs exclusively on Netflix

About Our Expert

Jordan Minor

Jordan Minor

Principal Writer, Software

My PCMag career began in 2013 as an intern. Now, I'm a senior writer, using the skills I acquired at Northwestern University to write about dating apps, meal kits, programming software, website builders, video streaming services, and video games. I was previously a senior editor at Geek.com and have written for The A.V. Club, Kotaku, and Paste Magazine. I'm the author of the gaming history book Video Game of the Year: A Year-by-Year Guide to the Best, Boldest, and Most Bizarre Games from Every Year Since 1977, and the reason everything you know about Street Sharks is a lie.

The Technology I Use

I use the newest Android and iOS smartphones for testing, but I currently use an iPhone 14 as my personal phone. I just hate that we gave up headphone jacks.

I've always favored gaming laptops over desktops. On that note, I have a 16-inch HP Envy with an Intel Core i9-13900H CPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU. No matter what machine I’m working on, an alarming amount of my personal and professional life revolves around cloud-synced Google Drive files.

For food subscriptions, my household sticks with CookUnity and HelloFresh for meals. Video streaming is a bit more complicated. While there are too many services to list, we're subscribed to most of the major ones. These days, I find myself drawn to HBO Max's movies and shows, as well as Peacock's reality trash.

I've been a lifelong Nintendo fan, and I sincerely believe the Nintendo Switch will go down as one of the best gaming consoles of all time. It has an unbelievable library of new and old games from Nintendo and third-party companies. The handheld/console hybrid approach makes playing games so much more flexible, a legacy that continues with the Nintendo Switch 2 and Valve’s Steam Deck.
