Whether you gave Space Force the old college try, or still haven't watched every possible version of the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt interactive episode, Netflix's "Continue Watching" section can get bogged down in unwanted content. Which is why the streaming service introduced "remove from row": a new feature that makes it easier to delete rejected programs and focus on the series and movies you actually want to continue watching.
Android owners running the latest version of Netflix can access the function by tapping the three dots next to any title and choosing "Remove From Row." Other pop-up options include the ability to see more information, download the next episode (if applicable), and rate the program.
The oft-requested function is currently available only on Android, but is "coming soon" to iOS devices, according to Gadgets 360. Amazon Prime Video users may be familiar with a similar long-press feature that lets you add to the Watchlist or remove from recommendations with one touch.
"We constantly look to make the Netflix experience more intuitive," the company said in a statement to Gadgets 360. "The update to the mobile menu groups a few existing options—downloading a show or movie, rating it, or removing it from 'Continue Watching'—and makes them more convenient."
There is no word on whether this function will roll out to desktop users, who can currently hide titles from their viewing history (Account > Profile > Viewing Activity), but have no option to permanently remove content from the "Continue Watching" list.
