Sony HT-NT5

The Sony HT-NT5 soundbar has a unique, angular, two-tone design. It rests on an incline when placed on a flat surface in front of a television (wall mounting brackets are also included), with two 9/16-inch tweeters peeking out the front edge of the glossy brushed black body.

The magnetic metal grille is removable.

Two upward-firing tweeters, along with two 2 3/8-inch midrange drivers, sit behind a gunmetal grille that attaches magnetically to the soundbar.

The 130-watt subwoofer is a typically unassuming black monolith. The front panel is covered with black grille cloth over a 6 3/8-inch front-firing driver and features an exposed base port, while the top and sides are completely smooth and solid.

The included remote could easily be mistaken for a Sony television remote, with its rectangular profile and dozens of buttons.

Touch-sensitive input, pairing, power, and volume buttons sit completely flush on the top surface of the soundbar, on an inch-wide lip of exposed black material under the grille.

Two HDMI inputs, along with the HDMI output, face right from the inside of one recess.

A third HDMI input, an Ethernet port, an optical audio input, and a 3.5-millimeter analog input sit facing directly back in a second recess.
