WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 offers just about all the extras a wrestling fan could ask for. You can play as one of several WWE stars, which have their own signature moves and storylines to follow, or create your own character and moves. There are some great match and multi-player options, including a four-man tag team match and a Backstage Brawl for settling your grievances outside of the ring. In the ring, the fighting style doesn't deviate much from previous versions, but the controls are intuitive and easy to pick up on. I'm not sure I'd recommend the game for non-WWE fans, as there are more interesting fighting games out there, but for pro-wrestling devotees, this is as good as it gets.
