Yes, PlayStation 2 games are still being made. Persona 4 might be one of the last to come out for the console, but it is also one of the best. The game puts you in a peaceful town in rural Japan, where you must solve a serial murder case involving a mysterious world inside people's televisions. The unlikely cast of murder-solving high school students must face the demons within them to draw upon their hidden powers—called Persona—to find out the truth behind the crimes. The game is split between battles—which involve turn-based combat and center strongly around exploiting your enemies' weak points—and day-to-day teenage life, where the friendships and social links you make have an effect on your strength and battling attributes. Persona 4 promises over 100 hours of gameplay, and the real challenge for RPG-loving gamers will be to pull themselves away at all.
