Lieutenant Jimmy Paterson makes his PS2 debut in this immersive WWII first-person shooter. The first of six missions (spread over 19 levels) is perhaps the most spectacular, as you land on Omaha Beach on D day. The combination of controller vibration and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound yields an incredibly realistic game: You can hear bullets whistle past your head, a groan, and a thud—then turn around to see a member of your squad go down. The game isn't all about killing; some missions involve stealth and incorporate puzzle-solving elements. All in all, this is one of the most enjoyable titles on any game platform.
