LastPass Premium

You manage all your LastPass Premium passwords and other data through the online vault. Since the premium edition doesn't have any ads, you can see more items at once than in the free edition.

The new user interface hasn't yet rolled out for Opera and Internet Explorer. As a result, while you can edit the new item types in these browsers, you can't create new ones.

In Opera and Internet Explorer, you can still create simple, free-form Secure Notes.

Two-factor authentication using a Yubikey is a premium-only feature. To activate a Yubikey for this purpose, you click in one of the five fields, insert the Yubikey, and touch its gold button.

With Yubikey authentication enabled, logging in requires that you enter your master password and touch the Yubikey's button.

Upgrading to premium raises the available storage for attachments from 50MB to 1GB. Attachments live in the cloud, with your passwords, and you can access them from any of your devices.

Using the separate LastPass for Applications, you can store and autofill passwords for local program. You start the process by using a crosshair cursor to select the program.

Once you've chosen the program, you fill in the username and password. To autofill these credentials, you select Fill Application from the menu and identify the program using the crosshair cursor.
