Norton Identity Safe

Norton Identity Safe lists all of your saved logins and reports on the password strength of the selected item. You can create folders and move items into them using simple drag and drop.

The Identity Safe home page offers another view of your saved logins and identity cards. A thumbnail of each site makes selection easy.

Identity Safe doesn't merely rate the strength of your master password. It actively points out any ways in which the password you've typed could be stronger.

Settings on the browsing options page control oerall behaviors such as whether Identity Safe asks before saving credentials you've entered. You can override the autofill option on a site by site basis.

When Identity Safe automatically captures login credentials that you've entered, it reports its action in a tiny slide-down bar at the top of the browser window. While the bar is visible you can change options for this site.

Identity Safe handles multiple logins for the same site by filling in one set but waiting for confirmation. You can click to select between multiple logins before continuing.

A drop-down menu in the product's browser toolbar gives access to a menu of all saved logins. Folders created in the login editor become submenus in this list.

Identity Safe can automatically log you out after a period of inactivity. To log in, you must enter the strong master password.

The ability to generate strong passwords is not built into Identity Safe, but you can use the online password generator and copy/paste the results.

Identity Safe can fill Web forms for you using personal information that you enter in one or more identity cards.

Each identity card contains a specific collection of personal data. If you need to store multiple addresses or multiple credit cards, you just create an additional identity card.

The infobar at the browser's top edge offers to fill any form it detects. The orange color identifies fields that have been filled automatically.

A button in the product's toolbar lets you easily share the current website on a variety of social networks, as long as the site is safe.

The Safe Web component marks search results as safe, unsafe, or questionable. Pointing at the colored icon gets more detail.

For any website you can get a full report of Safe Web's information. This includes details about malware found as well as user reviews.

The Norton toolbar also keeps you from accidentally visiting fraudulent (phishing) sites, both those on known blacklists and those detected by real-time analysis.

To access your stored data remotely you must supply both your Norton Account password and your Identity Safe password. From this page you can view and copy login credentials, but if you want fully automated login you'll have to install the product.
