Main Window
From the main editing window of RoboForm Desktop 7 you can view, manage, and edit all of your saved data items. These include logins, bookmarks, form-filling identities, and more.
Import Data
To get up and running quickly, you'll want to import any existing password stored in your browsers. You can also import login data that's been exported by a number of competing password managers.
Password Capture
When you log in to a secure site, RoboForm displays an infobar that lets you control how it's saved. In particular, you can tweak the item name and save it in an existing or new folder.
Start Page
The RoboForm Start Page collects your most-used logins into a single handy page. You can organize them as you wish and optionally add specific logins to the page.
Password Generator
By default, RoboForm's password generator creates eight-character passwords using letters and numbers. You'll want to add special characters and crank up the length to 12 or eves 16 characters.
Application Password Capture
RoboForm does a nice job capturing application passwords. When it sees a password-entry dialog, it attaches a toolbar to the bottom.
Application Password Fill
If you launch a password-entery dialog for which RoboForm has login data saved, the toolbar changes, allowing you to fill in the saved data or both fill and submit the dialog.
Form-Filling Identities
RoboForm excels at filling Web forms with personal data. You can create multiple identities, and each identity can include multiple addresses, credit cards, bank accounts, and so on.
Fingerprint Authentication
If your PC has a compatible fingerprint reader installed, you can configure RoboForm to require a finger-swipe as a second authentication factor.
Options Dialog
While many password managers are aiming for more simplicity, RoboForm offers comprehensive fine-tuning of configuration. Its Options dialog includes 18 distinct pages of settings.
