Mota SmartWatch G2 Pro Review

Ignore the somewhat sleek images of the Mota SmartWatch G2 Pro you'll find online. When I first saw the watch in person, two words immediately came to mind: costume jewelry.

The G2 Pro measures an inch across and roughly a quarter of an inch thick, so it looks like a chunky bangle.

The G2 Pro features an all-plastic design, but not the sturdy, high-quality plastic you find on many modern smartphones. Instead, the 1.12-ounce watch feels chintzy, and the rubberized coating on the inside that sits against your wrist was literally peeling away from the body of my review unit.

Given the size of the watch, the G2 Pro features a relatively tiny display. It measures an inch across, but less than a quarter-inch tall, so text is on the small side, though still plainly visible

The G2 Pro features a rechargeable battery that Mota says should last up to 72 hours in standby or up to 3 hours of active talk time.
