If you're looking for a deal on a high-end robot vacuum this Cyber Monday, you can end your search right now. I review robot vacuums for a living, and my carpets have rarely been as clean as after I run the Ecovacs Deebot X9 Pro Omni, which is currently marked down to its lowest price ever. Throughout my tests, the X9 proved particularly proficient at removing stubborn dirt from between carpet fibers, thanks to a refined intake system focused on functional airflow rather than raw suction power (pascals), which I've found to be an overrated specification. It's no slouch at vacuuming hardwood either, and it's an excellent mop, plus it thoroughly cleans and maintains itself between runs. At just $699.99 (46% off), the Ecovacs Deebot X9 Pro Omni is one of the very best Cyber Monday deals on a premium robot floor cleaner.

What to Look for in a Robot Vacuum Deal

Cyber Monday is one of the best times to buy a robot vacuum, as you can usually find excellent prices on top models. As a general rule, look for Cyber Monday savings of at least 30% off, as you can usually find lesser discounts on robot vacuums at other times of the year. Beyond that, have a checklist of features you want. Advanced navigation and a self-emptying dustbin are my must-haves, but I've also been impressed by some newer innovations, like roller mops that clean themselves as they scrub your floors, and self-lifting functionality for clearing thresholds and other obstacles. When it comes to vacuuming performance, remember that suction power statistics alone aren't always a reliable indicator of real-world cleaning performance. Be sure to read our reviews to find out which models are worth it.

Finally, during Cyber Monday, it's common to see robot vacuums drop down a price tier. Aim to snag a midrange $600 model for a low-end $300 price, or a premium $1,000-plus model at a price closer to the midrange.

This Cyber Monday Ecovacs Deal Truly Cleans Up

Introduced this year for $1,599.99, the Ecovacs Deebot X9 Pro Omni debuts a new Blast vacuuming system (which stands for boosted large-airflow suction technology). It uses a wider inlet compared with previous models, plus a high-torque motor, to optimize its airflow rate. More than just a fancy name, the Blast system actually enhances the X9's vacuuming capabilities, my testing confirms. It earned a better score on my suction stress test than its predecessor, the X8.

We typically recommend the X8 because it otherwise performs just as well as the X9 and has a lower MSRP; however, for Cyber Monday, both models are on sale for the same price of $699.99. In this case, opt for the X9 for its superior debris pickup, especially if you have a lot of carpeted surfaces in your home.

The X9 can also take care of your hard flooring; it features an automatic dispenser for cleaning solution and a self-cleaning roller mop that limits cross-contamination by refreshing itself as it works. Additionally, it eliminates maintenance tasks from your plate, with the ability to empty its own dustbin and wash and dry its mops between runs.

This Cyber Monday deal on the Ecovacs Deebot X9 Pro Omni nets you one of the most powerful 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mops I've ever tested at an unbeatable price. At 46% off, the X9 is a steal. Of course, it's not the only Cyber Monday deal I found, so read on for additional options.

Dreame X30 Deal

For Cyber Monday, the Dreame X30 Ultra is available at a bargain-level price of $399.99. The X30 vacuums and mops well, and is one of the best models we've tested if your home has high-pile or sensitive carpets that can't get wet. While many other robot vacuums simply lift their mop pads when traversing carpets, which can still cause incidental contact, the Dreame X30 can automatically remove them while at the base station and reinstall them when ready to resume cleaning hard floors.

When we first reviewed the Dreame X30, it cost $1,699.99, and that high price held it back from earning an Editors' Choice award. Now at $399.99, it's an ideal robot to grab if you're looking for a versatile cleaner to keep your place tidy.

Ecovacs Deebot X8 Deal

I mentioned the significant discount on the Deebot X9 above, but the Deebot X8 is also on sale on Cyber Monday. Amazon has it currently listed at $1,099.99, and on sale for $699.99, but that deal looks even better compared with the robot's $1,399.99 list price from when I reviewed it.

The Deebot X8 and the Deebot X9 share many similarities. Both have high-powered vacuums and self-cleaning roller mops. Both have a base station to empty the dustbin and wash and dry the mop pads. If you have more carpets than hardwood, opt for the X9 for its superior pickup of stubborn debris. Go with the X8 if you have mostly hard floors. The X8 actually performed slightly better on our mopping stress test than its predecessor, and the $699.99 price is quite appealing.

FAQs

What Is the Best Robot Vacuum Money Can Buy?

With a 4.5-star rating and our Editors' Choice award, the Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni is our usual top pick for high-end robot floor cleaners. That said, as discussed above, we take value into consideration when scoring products, and for its Cyber Monday sale price, the Deebot X9 stands as the superior buy.

For additional options, our list of the best robot vacuums features all of our favorites and explains why we like them. You can also check our individual reviews to stay up to date as we test new models.

Is Cyber Monday a Good Time to Buy a Vacuum?

Yes. Sales holidays like Cyber Monday and Amazon Prime Day are excellent times to buy a robot vacuum. The category tends to receive huge discounts, bringing top models down to midrange prices. You can usually find sales on older robot vacuums throughout the year, but Cyber Monday promotions tend to be better than average, and you'll see newer models marked down during this time. In fact, given how often you can find discounts in this category, we recommend never paying full price for a robot vacuum.

My Experience

I’m PCMag’s senior writer covering smart home and wearable devices. I’ve been reporting on tech professionally for nearly a decade and have been obsessing about it for much longer than that. Prior to joining PCMag, I made educational videos for an electronics store called Abt Electronics in Illinois, and before that, I spent eight years covering the smart home market for CNET.

I foster many flavors of nerdom in my personal life. I’m an avid board gamer and video gamer. I love fantasy football, which I view as a combination of role-playing games and sports. Plus, I can talk to you about craft beer for hours and am on a personal quest to have a flight of beer at each microbrewery in my home city of Chicago.

The Technology I Use

I tend to like mixing flavors from various companies. My personal computer is an Apple MacBook Pro. My phone is a Google Pixel 7a. On my wrists are an ever-rotating lineup of the latest smartwatches, and I sometimes wear two at once for testing and extra style. The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is a mainstay on my wrist because I use it as a control for evaluating the accuracy of other devices' fitness metrics.

I spend plenty of time in front of my entertainment center, which features a 55-inch LG OLED TV, a Yamaha soundbar, a Nintendo Switch, and a PS5. (I insisted on getting the PS5 with the disc slot when they were hard to come by and haven’t used the feature in more than a year.) I thought I’d have given in to temptation and snagged an Xbox to play Starfield by now, but Baldur’s Gate 3 saved me money by distracting me long enough for the Starfield hype to blow past.

I have two cats and sneeze plenty, so I have a Shark Air Purifier to help me fight back against their dastardly, shedding ways.

I use my aforementioned Pixel 7a and a Nest Hub for Google Assistant, an iPhone 16e and AirPods to talk to Siri, and an Amazon Echo Show 5 and Echo Show 15 for Alexa, so I’m not in danger of losing touch with any of the big three digital assistants.
