Peerflix

The main Peerflix page when you first log in to your account.

Your main account page, with helpful links to set up RSS and Atom feeds. It might scare away casual users, but anyone familiar with feeds can see the value in this.

This page keeps track of your want list. Like Netflix, you can re-order this list at will, and based on a titles availability, you will get something mailed to you. (We were doing great, as you can see.)

This page keeps track of your inventory; DVDs you want, DVDs you have, and DVDs you need to mail already, because someone else is waiting!

The Oscar Winners page is great for 2006, but what about the other years? (Tip: Visit Wikipedia and look up Academy Awards to get complete listings of winners for each of the 26 categories over the years).

Some movies get the deluxe treatment, such as this detailed page for Crash.

Other pages reveal the services beta-like status, such as this blank History of Violence page, another brand new and popular movie.

The all-valuable recommendations let you know about other movies you might like. Peerflix is not the first service to offer this (Reel.com was doing it years ago), but it is always welcome.

If we like Blade Runner, we will probably also like Chinatown? Do not get us wrong; those are two great movies. But we are not sure we see the link.

Playing up the social networking aspect, Peerflix lets you invite friends that you can then trust to follow through on sending DVDs, or that have collections you are interested in.

If something happens and a particular member can not follow through with a trade, you will get a message like this. This is the only one we saw during our tests.
