Pros & Cons

A 575W power supply with a 144 millimeter fan at 1,900 rpm, the Thermaltake Toughpower XT ($109.99 list) sports delayed fan cooling, an LED indicator and quiet operation technology. The unit supports dual 8-pin and 6-pin PCI-E connectors for up-to-date video cards, operates at up to 50 degrees Celcius and comes with plenty more features.

Design and Features
The Toughpower XT sports a brushed metal finish, with its LED indicator found up top and its 144 millimeter fan resting in one of its sides. The unit's inputs include a 100 to 240 VAC input, a 20+4-pin main connector, 8-pin power connector, 4-pin power connector and more. In its rear, users will find the AC input and the main power switch.

This power supply's FanDelayCool allows users to manually set how long the fan will run after the computer shuts down, allowing components to gradually cool off. A +12V rail is said to be compatible with today's latest components. The Toughpower XT complies with Intel ATX 12V 2.3 and SSI EPS 12V 2.92 standards and meets 80PLUS Bronze efficiency requirements.
