Google is bringing Android Pay to more places on the mobile Web, with the help of Visa and MasterCard.
In a Monday blog post, Google's Global Head of Payments Pali Bhat announced that Android Pay will soon be available on "hundreds of thousands of new sites" where Visa Checkout and Masterpass are accepted. This should offer a much easier checkout experience on these sites, letting users pay with their preferred device authentication method, such as a fingerprint scan.
"No longer will users have to remember multiple usernames and passwords in order to checkout, saving them time and hassle," Bhat wrote.
To take advantage of this new integration, you'll need to link your Visa Checkout or Masterpass account with Android Pay. After doing so, you'll be able to pay in stores and online "with a simple tap," Bhat said.

The feature isn't available just yet, however. Bhat said to look for the new Visa Checkout and Masterpass integrations within the Android Pay app early next year.
He touted this as good for consumers and businesses that have enabled Visa Checkout or Masterpass on their sites. "These merchants can look forward to faster checkout times, fewer abandoned carts, higher conversions and increased sales," Bhat wrote.
Google first announced plans to bring Android Pay to the mobile Web last month.
Meanwhile, Android Pay recently scored the support of a major financial institution: Chase. The bank now supports Google's mobile payment system on Chase Visa cards like Freedom, Slate, Sapphire, United Mileage Explorer and Hyatt Credit Card.
