According to EA, the year 2142 really sucks. Hell, there's a global ice age going on, and as you can imagine, the world's resources are stretched pretty thin. This tense situation leads to all-out war between the earth's two major superpowers as they vie for the planet's shrinking livable real estate.

More of a futuristic evolution of EA Game's popular Battlefield franchise, this time around the game lets you play as several classes of infantry while controlling advanced military vehicles. The coolest of these are the massive Battle Walkers, gigantic robotic tanks festooned with machine guns and rocket launchers.

There's also a new multi-player "Titan" mode, which is the most fun, where each side of the conflict must blow the other team's "Titan" flying battleship out of the sky. This can either be accomplished by capturing missile silos on the ground or by sending boarding parties aboard the enemy ship to knock out key systems. The result is nice a combination of the huge maps and vehicles Battlefield fanatics have loved for years plus some of the close squad tactical combat familiar to Counter Strike addicts.
