OnePlus made its limited-edition Midnight Black OnePlus 3T available on Hypebeast last month, and we snapped up the 128GB version. For no extra cost, you get one of the best high-end phones out there - great overall performance, the customizable OxygenOS, and a big 3,400mAh fast-charging battery - combined with attendant bragging rights.

Even if the OnePlus 3T Midnight Black wasn't limited, we'd recommend picking one up anyway; it's very easy on the eyes. While black is the de rigueur phone colour these days, OnePlus went out of its way to apply three coats of paint offering protection while retaining something of the machine-milled metal body underneath too. Under the harsh glare of the studio lights, that 14 microns thick coating of paint looks suitably lustrous. It's Terminator-sexy— hard, dark and dangerous-looking.

OnePlus also includes a translucent rubber lifejacket to protect your 3T from any scratches, scuffs, and other superficial pocket damage. This is another exclusive, in that you won't be able to find one in the OnePlus store alongside the many other cases you can buy. OnePlus also added a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating to the Gorilla Glass 4-enhanced screen, which helps retain a glossy finish; it hardly needed cleaning with a microfiber cloth between shots.

Don't take our word for it; feast your eyes on our hands-on pics below in lieu of shelling out for the real thing, while you still can. And check out PCMag's review of the original OnePlus 3T.
