Samsung this week revamped its free, ad-supported Samsung TV Plus streaming service with a logo redesign and fresh programming partnerships for more premium content, including local news, exclusive premiers, and feature films.
Introduced in 2015, Samsung TV Plus delivers more than 220 channels in the US and 1,600-plus stations globally. It comes pre-installed on branded 2016-2022 smart TV sets, Galaxy devices, and select Family Hub refrigerators (for those who want to binge-watch during meal prep).
Shows and channels coming to Samsung TV Plus include Top Gear, as well as Law & Order Special Victims Unit, NCIS, and Chicago Fire via ION from Scripps Networks, and all things style with the Home.Made.Nation channel from A+E Networks.
Samsung also teased some exclusive programming: Ride or Drive, its first auto-focused channel; and Samsung Showcase for concerts, events and special programming. And it has plans to expand its video-on-demand library in 2023 and "deliver blockbuster hits" through partnerships with Lionsgate, Vice Media, and other studios.
