You probably know the pattern of ported Wii games by now: Game companies develop beautiful, complex games for the Xbox 360 and PS3, and then offer up stripped-down, buggy, hastily copied versions for the Wii. I'm thrilled to say that Call of Duty: World at War does not follow that pattern. The World War 2 visuals and cutscenes are beautiful, the motion-centric game play is fun (especially with the Wii Zapper), and the action is nonstop. There's also a fun online component. World at War might just be the first-person shooter that Wii devotees have been waiting for.
