Don't let the title fool you. Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story isn't some film-noir mystery game. Mario and Luigi, along with the Princess and other characters from the Mushroom Kingdom, have been inhaled by Bowser, leaving you in the bad guy's insides. As in all Mario games, you're still saving the Princess, but this time out, Bowser's not the main villian. Fawful is back, and he's taken Bowser's castle.
Using the DS's two screens, you switch between playing as Bowser, and as Mario and Luigi inside Bowser. With its humorous dialogue, the game has a modern feel, and the story moves along quickly. In addition to using the DS's controls, the game takes advantage of the stylus and the mic. With top-notch graphics, Bowser's Inside Story is beautifully produced. Even if you're not a role-playing-game type fan, the game is incredibly addictive. This is one game that should grace your DS.
