Monster Hunter Generations (for Nintendo 3DS)

Glavenus is one of several new monster species in Monster Hunter Generations. It is a bipedal, dinosaur-like wyvern with a massive, bladed tail that it fights with to great effect. Its swirling tail-swipes make the beast difficult to read.

Astalos is another newcomer to Monster Hunter Generations. Though similar in frame to the Seregios, the flagship monster from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Astalos makes use of electrical attacks to stun and confuse hunters.

The new hunter arts give players access to all new defensive and offensive moves. When set up properly, a well-aimed weapon art can deal devastating damage to a monster.

Maccao is a new, fodder enemy in Monster Hunter Generations. These creatures are more of a nuisance than a real threat, but they tend to move in numbers and can easily overwhelm you if not dispatched quickly.

As with every lesser enemy, a greater variant is sure to pop up at some point. The Great Maccao is the larger and more aggressive version of its lesser brethren. As with all such monsters, the Great Maccao rarely fights alone.

The world of Monster Hunter is also filled with herbivorous beasts that can hold their own against the draconic predators of the realm. Gammoth is an elephantine creature that inhabits icy areas, and is highly aggressive towards intruders.
