Traveling? These Airports Have the Fastest Wi-Fi

Ookla's North American airport Wi-Fi rankings found that Seattle-Tacoma International has the fastest free Wi-Fi in the US and Canada with 103 Mbps download speeds.

Airports can be a cold, desolate place to find a strong internet connection. Separated from the comfort of your home router or mesh network in a strange land of cellular dead zones, travelers are forced to log into spotty public Wi-Fi while hunkered near an airport outlet.

The Why Axis BugWhich airports have the fastest Wi-Fi? Internet speed testing and analysis company Ookla tested Wi-Fi speeds in more than two dozen airports across the US and Canada to find out.

Ookla's Top 10 Fastest Airport Wi-Fi

Ookla's report found that Seattle-Tacoma International Airport had the fastest download and upload speeds by far (103.00 Mbps up/155.93 Mbps down), followed by the airports in Denver, Calgary, Atlanta, and San Francisco.

The bottom five airports tested with the slowest speeds were Phoenix, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Toronto, and bringing up the rear was Montreal. Sorry, French Canadian passengers.
