Logitech already offers a range of peripherals for Apple's devices, but to coincide with the launch of the Pixel 4 smartphone and Pixelbook Go Chromebook yesterday, Logitech introduced its first "Made for Google" products in the form of a keyboard and mouse.

The Logitech K580 Slim Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard is the more interesting of the two peripherals. It's a Chrome OS-focused keyboard complete with a dedicated row of Chrome OS shortcut keys and a Google Assistant key. Logitech says key presses are "whisper-quiet" and the keyboard is kept slim through the use of scissor switches.

At the top of the keyboard is a cradle, which you can rest your Pixel or Android phone in and then start typing. It's possible to pair the keyboard with up to three devices at once and switch between them with a button press (Logitech calls it Easy-Switch). Battery life is rated at an impressive 36 months and there's a USB receiver in the box if you don't want to use Bluetooth.

The Logitech M355 Portable Wireless Mouse has been designed to be very quiet and easy to carry around. Logitech claims a 90 percent noise reduction without losing the "click" feel, while the mouse is designed like a pebble for portability. Connectivity can be achieved either using Bluetooth or via the included USB receiver and it will work with all Chrome OS devices. Battery life is rated at up to 18 months.

Both the keyboard and mouse are available in the Google Store, with the K580 keyboard costing $49.99 and the M355 mouse costing $29.99. Logitech says they are already available, but the Google Store listings state they are coming soon for now.
