Apple revealed the Apple TV+ video streaming service back in March, but we didn't know then when it would launch or how much it would cost. Now we do if the latest reports are to be believed.

As Bloomberg reports, people familiar with matter have stated that the Apple TV+ service is set to launch in November and will cost $9.99 per month. However, Apple needs time to build up its library of content while growing the user base as quickly as possible, so we should expect what sounds like a generous free trial period.

To begin with, we should expect the content on Apple TV+ to be quite limited, but it will grow quickly over the first few months. Rather than release complete new series all at once, as tends to be the case on rival service Netflix, Apple is thought to be considering releasing the first three episodes of new shows then switching to one a week.

Regardless of the name recognition and reach Apple brings to the streaming market, succeeding requires a continuous flow of good content to keep consumers subscribing. The exclusive content we know about so far includes The Morning Show, See, Little America, Little Voices, Truth Be Told, Amazing Stories, and new episodes of Sesame Street. As much as $6 billion is thought to have been set aside by Apple to produce further exclusive content.

Apple TV+ will be available through the new Apple TV app, which also offers access to HBO, Starz, Showtime, Smithsonian Channel, Epix, Tastemade, and MTV Hits. Family sharing will also allow up to six family members to share a subscription. Obviously all Apple's own devices will be fully-supported, but Apple TV+ is expected to be accessible through other products including Roku's media streaming boxes, Amazon's Fire TV range, and Samsung's televisions to name a few.
