Samsung is using Apple's latest PR snafu to champion the Galaxy Note 4.

In a new advertisement, the Korean tech giant takes aim at "Bendgate," the unintentional curving of Cupertino's iPhone 6 Plus while in the owner's pocket.

Apple said the issue is "extremely rare," and claims the 5.5-inch phone went through rigorous testing, including 3-point bending and pressure point cycling.

But, as Samsung's ad points out, our hips are stronger than we think, and when combined with a pants pocket, can do more damage than expected. Just look at your wallet or credit card after an extended stay in your trousers.

"The back pockets on our pants are awesome," the video description said. "We know they are vulnerable to pickpockets and have a greater chance of spilling the contents every time we sit, but we can't resist it. The back pocket is still home to many wallets, keys, phones, etc."

But, according to Samsung, the Galaxy Note 4 is immune to those dangers.

When put to the "gluteus maximus" test, which includes the 3-point bend and human weight experiments, the 5.7-inch device bows under pressure, but immediately returns to its original shape. Even after a simulated 220-pound man sits on its several hundred times.

There is a catch: Apple iPhone 6 Plus users complained about their phablet curving while kept in a pocket (front or back) during hours of continuous sitting. They were not, in fact, releasing any pressure on the phone during that time, unlike the Samsung test.

While "Bendgate" became a national joke—even a late-night punch line—Cupertino did promise to replace those phones that pass "visual inspection."

Swayed by Samsung's marketing tactics? You can pre-order the Note 4 now from all four major carriers; it will officially arrive on Oct. 17. Major retailers like Best Buy, Amazon, Costco, RadioShack, Sam's Club, Target, and Walmart will also carry the phone.
