Motorola is back with two new devices: an addition to its cheaper G series of smartphones and a tablet called the Moto Pad, marking a soft reset for the brand’s Android slate family.

The new Moto G Stylus (2026) is the brand’s latest phone to feature a pen-like stylus. This remains a unique selling point, as no other popular manufacturers offer a stylus on any phone other than a flagship.

However, Motorola has raised the price by $100 compared with the last-generation G Stylus. This new handset costs $499.99, the same as the Google Pixel 10a.

The stylus on the latest Moto G is now more useful than previous iterations, thanks to tilt and pressure sensitivity, which Motorola says enable “broader shading, finer lines, and more natural strokes” to better emulate a pen on paper. This is only available in supported apps, and Motorola has yet to confirm which those will be.

Other new stylus features include Sketch to Image, which turns simple doodles into AI-generated imagery, and a Handwriting Calculator, which solves any equations you’ve quickly sketched onto a virtual notepad.

Motorola says its stylus lasts about four hours of writing and fully recharges in 15 minutes when plugged back into the phone. The handset also runs Android 16 out of the box.

If you buy the new Moto G Stylus, you're sketching on a 6.7-inch Extreme AMOLED display with 5000 nits of peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone comes in two colors: Coal Smoke or Lavender Mist.

It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, and you’ll get 8GB of RAM. There are no further RAM options here, and you’ll only get 128GB or 256GB of storage, though it supports microSD cards up to 1TB.

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 powered last year's Samsung Galaxy A36 5G, albeit with only 6GB of RAM, which PCMag's review said offered "impressive performance." That should mean a smooth experience across most tasks on this phone, but you shouldn't expect flagship-level speeds.

There’s a 5,200mAh battery with 68W fast charging, plus wireless charging up to 15W. On the front of the phone, you’ll find a 32MP selfie camera.

For the rear camera, there’s a 50MP Ultra Pixel shooter using a Sony Lytia 700C sensor, f/1.8 aperture, optical image stabilization, and various other features. There’s also a 13MP ultra-wide shooter on the rear, alongside a 3-in-1 light sensor to help improve exposure and color features.

The Moto G Stylus (2026) costs $499.99 and will be available from April 16 through Motorola itself and other retailers such as Amazon and Best Buy. It's first launching on Google Fi Wireless on the same date, with plans to bring it to other carriers including AT&T, Cricket Wireless, Spectrum Mobile and Xfinity Mobile in the future.

Motorola’s additional gadget is a new tablet, an area the brand has focused on less in recent years. The new Moto Pad (2026) features an 11-inch display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.

It’s powered by a MediaTek D6300 processor with 5G connectivity, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and up to 2TB of expandable storage. There’s a 7,040mAh battery, 20W charging, and quad speakers with Dolby Atmos to help the audio stand out when you’re not using headphones.
