Details of the Pixel 6 smartphones leaked over the weekend, but it looks as though Google is also preparing to launch a new subscription service called "Pixel Pass."

As Engadget reports, Pixel Pass was first spotted by Twitter user M. Brandon Lee who posted a screenshot of what's expected to be included. It looks to be a combination of phone payments and a bundle of first-party services, similar to what Apple offers through its Apple One subscription. The difference here being you are paying for the phone every month, too.

We don't know how much Pixel Pass would cost, but the leaked information suggests signing up gets you an Android smartphone (probably the Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro), as well as subscriptions to Google One, YouTube Premium, YouTube Music, Play Pass, and the option of Google Fi. There would also be an extended warranty included via Preferred Care of Device Protection. The other benefit to signing up for this subscription is the promise of regular handset upgrades.

With the Pixel 6 expected to cost in the region of $750, combined with the individual costs of the bundled services and warranty, it's not going to be a cheap subscription even if Google does apply a heavy discount. However, if you already subscribe to many of the services included and regularly upgrade your phone, this could result in a big saving on your yearly costs.

The Pixel 6 smartphones are set to launch on Oct. 19, so assuming Pixel Pass is a real service Google is ready to launch, it's probably going to arrive on the same day.
