Carved Jorge Case (Galaxy S24)

The Jorge case from Carved is made from burled wood but has the look of a photo from a galaxy far far away to protect the Galaxy in your pocket. Each Carved case is unique so if this one is sold out when you click to buy, check out any of their other S24 cases.

Incipio cru. Case (Galaxy S24+)

Incipio Cru. Case (Galaxy S24+)

If you want a more tailored-looking Galaxy, go for the Incipio cru. Case. It's made of navy canvas and has covered buttons that are also ultra-responsive. There's a raised edge to protect the screen and the body is antimicrobial.

Peak Everyday Case (Galaxy S24 Ultra)

For a case that works with a range of mounts and accessories like a tripod and a creator kit, the Peak Everyday Case can't be beat. You won't have to worry about bulk with this one either, because the case is super sleek.

Speck Presidio2 Grip Case (Galaxy S24 Ultra)

You can't do better than the Speck Presidio2 Grip Case when it comes to reliability. It's a perennial favorite across phone models and it's no different for the Galaxy S24 series. It has no-slip grips, provides cushioning all around, covers all buttons, and is antimicrobial.

OtterBox Defender Series Case (Galaxy S24+)

The OtterBox Defender Series Case has a rubber exterior so that you can have a better handle on your Galaxy and it comes with a holster to hang it from your belt or a bag or to use a kickstand. Port covers keep out dust and dirt.

Urban Armor Gear Plasma XTE Series Case (Galaxy S24)

The Urban Armor Gear Plasma XTE Series Case is as strong as it is light, with cushioned corners and 20-foot drop protection. There's even a hexagonal kickstand on it that pops out for easy viewing or taking a video call.

CaseBorne V Case (Galaxy S24 Ultra)

Some lifestyles demand a rugged phone protector, and for those there's the CaseBorne V Case. It has reinforced corners, as well as five-layer construction with a foam core for shock-absorption. There's also a built-in kickstand.

BodyGuardz Ace Pro Case (Galaxy S24+)

You won't forget where you put your phone if it's attached to your wrist with the BodyGuardz Ace Pro Case. If it is out of your hands and you drop it, the case has shock-absorbing corners and 18-foot drop-protection.

Casetify Meadow Green Sweater Case (Galaxy S24)

Meadow Green Sweater

Casetify cases are all about customization. This Casetify Meadow Green Sweater Case can be made your own by adding extra-protective corners or a kickstand and choosing the colors that surround the lens.

ESR Boost Kickstand Case (Galaxy S24 Ultra)

Let your Galaxy shine with the clear ESR Boost Kickstand Case. Despite the glasslike appearance it gives, the case is very sturdy and has cushioned corners. An integrated kickstand adjusts to three viewing angles.

Case-Mate Soap Bubble Case (Galaxy S24+)

Give your Galaxy an iridescent swirl with the Case-Mate Soap Bubble Case. It fits your phone snugly, has raised edges to protect your screen and lenses, keeps buttons covered, and has UV protection so that it does not yellow.

Tech21 Evo Lite Wallet Case (Galaxy S24)

Tech21 Evo Lite for Samsung S24 - Clear

When you want to cut down on what you carry, the Tech21 Evo Lite Wallet Case has you covered. It holds your Galaxy and has three card slots. It also acts as a landscape-view kickstand. A magnetic closure keeps everything secure.

Mous Super Thin Case (Galaxy S24 Ultra)

For a case that will add barely any bulk to your Galaxy, Mous has the appropriately named Super Thin Case. It will protect against scratches and minor bumps, but it's not the case for you if you're clumsy.

My Experience

My title is Senior Features Writer, which is a license to write about absolutely anything if I can connect it to technology (I can). I’ve been at PCMag since 2011 and have covered the surveillance state, vaccination cards, ghost guns, voting, ISIS, art, fashion, film, design, gender bias, and more. You might have seen me on TV talking about these topics or heard me on your commute home on the radio or a podcast. Or maybe you’ve just seen my Bernie meme

I strive to explain topics that you might come across in the news but not fully understand, such as NFTs and meme stocks. I’ve had the pleasure of talking tech with Jeff Goldblum, Ang Lee, and other celebrities who have brought a different perspective to it. I put great care into writing gift guides and am always touched by the notes I get from people who’ve used them to choose presents that have been well-received. Though I love that I get to write about the tech industry every day, it’s touched by gender, racial, and socioeconomic inequality and I try to bring these topics to light.

Outside of PCMag, I write fiction, poetry, humor, and essays on culture.

My Areas of Expertise

  • Making incomprehensible tech news easy to understand
  • Expanding the boundaries of topics covered in the industry
  • Figuring out tips and tricks in apps and on devices and letting you know about them
  • Putting together gift guides for everyone in your life

The Technology I Use

All that gadgets is gold for me: my iPhone 11 Pro, my fifth-generation iPad that I use only for streaming videos and music, my iPad mini 4 that I like to take with me whenever I carry a bag that can fit it, and my MacBook Pro. Why are they all different shades of gold, though? What’s going on, Apple?

None of them quite live up to my two past loves: my LG Lotus LX600 phone and my Sony Walkman NW-E005 MP3 player.

I've never given up wired earbuds so I was ahead of all those trend pieces. I use a Mangotek Lightning-to-3.5mm headphone jack adapter to connect them to my phone.

I have had so many ebook readers, but I prefer paper to them all. Still, my Kindle Paperwhite is perfect for traveling or when I’m too impatient to wait for a book to be released in paperback.
