Myo Gesture Control Armband

The Myo Gesture Control Armband?lets you control games, presentations, and media players with the wave of your hand, but it won't replace your mouse and keyboard anytime soon.

Armband and Accessories

Along with the Armband, you get a standard micro USB cable for charging and a USB Bluetooth adapter for pairing the device with your computer.

Back of the band

The band itself is a series of plastic, rectangular pods, held together by a perimeter of rubber lining. Notice the USB port in the top "pod."

Side

The Myo doesn't exactly look like something I'd want to wear at a business meeting to give presentations.

Logo

The main "pod" sports two indicator LEDs. One is simply the Myo logo, while another, rectangular light indicates charging status.

Charging

According to Thalmic Labs, a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery can keep the Myo going for one full day on a single charge.

Sensors

On the underside of each pod you'll find three medical grade stainless steel EMG sensors that detect the electric impulses in your arm's muscles.

Gesture Control

Basic waving and fist-making gestures are the extent of the Myo's abilities. You're not going to be reenacting scenes from Minority Report anytime soon.
