In terms of pure gameplay, Pro Evolution 2017 is the best soccer simulation on the market. Unfortunately, truly appreciating it requires plenty of concessions.

Gameplay

PES 17's strength is its on-field play, which is more fluid and dynamic than FIFA 17's gameplay.

Goals

The game engine lets you score a variety of goals, leading to some beautiful team moves.

Animations

Player animations are well done and varied, which makes the gameplay feel natural.

Tackling

The same strong animations apply to making tackles. Players will do anything to get a piece of the ball.

Camp Nou

Barcelona is one of the only licensed clubs in the game, and its stadium looks great, as always.

Player Likeness

PES 17 has some very accurate player models, especially when you get up close and personal.
