While we continue to wonder when Nintendo will decide to launch a Switch Pro, the Japanese company has used CES to reveal another version of the existing Switch console sporting a new color scheme.

The main focus of CES 2021 for Nintendo seems to be promoting the forthcoming game Super Mario 3D World + Browser's Fury, for which a new trailer has been released. You can watch it below. The game launches on Feb. 12 on the Switch, but it will be joined by the new Switch model on the same day called the Nintendo Switch - Mario Red & Blue Edition.

"We hope players enjoy pouncing their way through two great Mario adventures in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, with lots of feline fun to be had whether playing solo or with family and friends," said Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Along with the Nintendo Switch – Mario Red & Blue Edition system, we’re delighted to offer these new products that mark more than 35 years of Super Mario adventures."

The new Switch will cost $299.99, and for that you get the hybrid console and dock in bright red. The Joy-Cons use the same red color, but have a blue strip where they slot into the Switch or the Joy-Con grip. Speaking of the grip, it is also blue. There's also a couple of extra items in the box with the console to help entice a purchase. Nintendo decided to include a Mario Red & Blue Edition Carrying Case and a screen protector, allowing you to safely carry the Switch around for portable play. Typically, Nintendo charges $24.99 when purchasing a carry case and screen protector separately, so it's a decent offer and saving.
