Corsair Keyboards and Mice Now Support Xbox One

No peripheral manufacturer is going to shy away from supporting the Xbox One, especially any that offer a range of gaming-focused keyboards and mice. Expect Corsair's announcement to be the first of many.

As of today, Microsoft officially supports the use of a keyboard and mouse as input devices for the Xbox One. Of course, using them also relies on support in games and support from peripheral manufacturers. Razer was already on board with its peripherals at launch, but now Corsair is joining the fray.

Corsair announced that both its wired and wireless keyboards and mice are now compatible with the Xbox One. That means before the end of November you'll be able to play Warframe, Fortnite, Bomber Crew, Deep Rock Galactic, Strange Brigade, Vermintide 2, War Thunder, and X-Morph Defense using Corsair's gaming peripherals. Children of Morta, DayZ, Minion Master, Moonlighter, Vigor, Warface, and Wargroove will also be added to that list in due course.

As the image above suggests, Corsair sees its K70 RGB MK.2 gaming keyboard and GLAIVE RGB gaming mouse as a nice combo for Xbox One games. Corsair says it is a licensed Xbox hardware partner and "looks forward to collaborating with the Xbox team to deliver even more compatible peripherals in the future." To me, that suggests there's a good chance we could get an Xbox One-focused keyboard and mouse bundle pretty soon.

Any peripheral manufacturer choosing to do that while complimenting the look of the Xbox One S or Xbox One X could enjoy a boost in sales, especially if it carries the "Designed for Xbox" mark. I think we'll probably be seeing a lot more announcements and Xbox-focused peripherals on show at CES 2019 early next year.
