Sony would like the focus to be on its lower PlayStation Now pricing today, but Microsoft is more than happy to distract Xbox owners with a new deal.

As The Verge reports, Microsoft offers an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription for $14.99 per month. It includes access to Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold. But right now there's an extra benefit to signing up in the form of six months free access to Spotify Premium. That's worth $59.94.

Spotify Premium allows you to play any song on the service without ad interruptions, listen offline, perform unlimited skips, and offers higher quality audio streams. It means if you'd rather listen to music while you game on Xbox, you can for free, at least for the next six months.

Xbox Game Pass offers Xbox One and PC owners over 100 games to play each month without any additional charges beyond the subscription. The games also change regularly so there's always something new to play. Add to that Xbox Live Gold and you unlock console multiplayer gaming, between two and four new games to play for free each month, and discounts of between 50-75 percent on Xbox One game purchases. That's a lot of value for under $180 a year, which is the equivalent of buying three new Xbox One titles.

If that's not enough of a deal, how about the first two months for $1 each? Sign up right now and that's what you'll get before reverting to the normal $14.99 price.

There are a couple of caveats to this deal to keep in mind. Firstly, if you've ever subscribed to Game Pass before, or are currently signed up, then you won't be able to take advantage of this deal. It's only for new subscribers. The same is true for Spotify. Anyone who has subscribed to Spotify Premium before or used a free trial period won't benefit from the free six month Premium access Microsoft is offering.
