Apple’s new MacBook Neo is proving to be both a critical and sales success. According to CEO Tim Cook, the Neo is a record-breaking Mac release.
In a post on social media network X, Cook said, “Mac just had its best launch week ever for first-time Mac customers. We love seeing the enthusiasm.”
That enthusiasm is evident in Apple's struggle to keep up with demand. Trying to buy a new MacBook Neo that arrives before April is difficult right now. As spotted by 9to5Mac, there's a two- to three-week wait for all Neo models. All eight configurations currently show ordering today means your laptop arrives from April 6 to 13.
Last week, the brand's own store showed a mix of dates depending on the variant, with some set for long waits and others for a week-long delay. Some customers can purchase a Neo faster if they visit an Apple store, but not all stores have any Neo stock left.
Stock levels seem better at other retailers like Amazon and Walmart, so you may want to opt for a third-party store to pick one up quickly.
The Neo comes in two configurations: a 256GB model or a 512GB model with a built-in Touch ID fingerprint sensor. You can buy each in four colors: Blush, Citrus, Indigo, or Silver.
