Amazon’s Ring has stopped selling the Ring Car Cam. The camera launched at CES 2023 and works as a dash cam while your vehicle is in motion and as a security camera when parked.

While the camera officially went on sale last year, it’s been hard for customers to purchase, and in some cases, those who ordered it later had their orders canceled by the company.

Speaking with The Verge, a Ring representative said the company is experiencing ongoing delays with the device and decided to stop selling it. That said, Ring plans to continue to support the camera through software updates, and the representative alluded to the company continuing to release products in the auto space.

We reviewed the Car Cam in March of last year. Overall, we liked its dual-camera imaging and 1080p video as well as its inclusion of the GPS locator. However, we were disappointed with the number of integration options available for the device and thought the camera was pricey, and didn't like that many of its features required a subscription.

Ring has not indicated whether it will resume sales of the device in the future, or if it will move on to a different auto-focused product.
