Tired of home consoles taking up space in your living room? One Chinese modding channel has a unique solution: Combine all of them into a single chassis.

As Tom's Hardware reports, a modder known as 小宁子 XNZ put a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Switch 2 inside a single case. This is a serious feat of engineering; how do you trim down parts that are otherwise necessary for the consoles to function? XNZ utilized a tri-fold design that places the three printed circuit boards (PCBs) opposite one another at a slight angle, allowing a single heatsink to connect to each of the main APU cores directly.

With only one system running at a time, a single cooling system is sufficient, though we have to imagine the PS5 would push the system the hardest. XNZ also cut down on extraneous connectors, such as different HDMI headers and power supplies, reducing each console to just its main PCB and onboard chips.

To achieve a shared power supply system, the PS5 and Xbox Series S were wired in parallel with a single 250W PSU; the Switch 2 was wired in using a USB-C power delivery connection. The Switch 2 dock was redesigned and built into the case, with a removable bay for portable mode.

The only thing that clearly still needs work is the name. I don't think, "Ningtendo PXBOX 5," is going to catch on.

The intriguing question now, what's next? There's enough interest in the comment section to suggest people might be interested in buying a kit to make this doable for DIY enthusiasts. Would you be interested in building a system for multiple consoles in one?
